The leading technology provider Google has given an update to its play store in may of this year. The update was that Google play store now allowed developers to release beta and alpha versions of their app. In the releasing process of version the distribution of app would be handled by play store and interested users could specifically sign up. Programmers control over how many users could sign up and were encourage using tools for their beta and alpha programs.
In this way Facebook the world’s number one social networking site has take an advantage by releasing beta version of their app. In the Facebook blog post the company said that they expect more than one million beta users signed up to improve the app for everyone. According to the Christian legnitto Facebook manager of mobile release more than one million users join to testing the social network Android app. In this program more than one million users are signed up for Facebook beta testing program and 50,000 signed up for alpha testing program.
These testing programs enable users to give their feedback and criticisms within the app. These feedback’s give information about what to need improvement. If we talk about the Facebook alpha testing program then it was started in October and basically for Android platform. Christian has said about this app that it contains the latest code and having raw version of Android apps than those offered in beta testing program.
The main goal of Facebook Android app testing program is that provides a faster way for Smartphone app testing such as real time crash reports generation and chat head messaging feature.
